Coldplay have admitted that they get hairy and overweight when they are between albums.

Singer Chris Martin said his group enjoyed “baked goods” during their “downtime”, which resulted in them putting on weight before the release of their Viva La Vida LP.

Coldplay have sold over millions of albums worldwide.  Despite this fact, bandmembers Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland insist that they have stayed pretty normal.

“(Chris) As much as we’re wanted by a lot of people to go and play lots of places, we’re still kind of the same people and still go shopping and wash-up and (Jonny) Fly by helicopter.”

Coldplay’s latest album Viva la Vida has already sold over one million copies since its release.

I met Coldplay’s Chris Martin when I presented him with a Blue Peter badge. He was gushing about how I was his favourite Blue Peter presenter and how he loved me in Celebrity Fame Academy. Someone said Chris only agreed to do the Blue Peter thing because he fancied me. Gwyneth, I promise I’m not after your man!
