Animal Rights Activists at Coldplay’s Barcelona gig

Animal rights protesters Asociación Animalista Libera picketed last night’s Coldplay gig June’s Barcelona Movistar gig. Here are some pictures…

I think the translation of the notice reads “Chris Martin in Vegitarian. Do you want to know about it?”. Here’s an article about it [in spanish]. I would be grateful if anyone can help with the translation… thanks iriden.

This Saturday, September 6, the band led by Chris Martin is coming back to Barcelona, this time at Palau Sant Jordi. On Sunday they will land in Madrid, where they will present their last album Viva la Vida for the first time. Libera! took part in the band’s previous concert in the city, giving information about the ethical reasons why thousands of people have decided to become vegetarian, as Chris Martin, an artist involved in many good causes and who is vegan for coeherence.

    From the title this sounded to me like they were protesting Coldplay’s show lol, so i was pretty confused.. but it seems now with the translation that they were just using Chris Martin’s vegetarianism to promote, so phew. Being a long time vegetarian myself, I didn’t want animal activists protesting Coldplay of all things lmao. =P

    Yeah, sorry about that…

    Because I don’t know a great deal of spanish, I didn’t know whether it was positive or negative.

    Well, it looks like it’s all good… ;)

    It is a sort of protest, I guess, against people eating meat. You’ll never stop me from eating meat, I’m afriad….
