Coldplay performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as part of the Mercedes-Benz Summer Concert Series. You can now view their performances of Viva la Vida and Lost! online. The performance of Lost! is an online exclusive only and wasn’t aired on television.

Coldplay Fan Interview

Lucky superfan hollywoodpunk had a blast and got to meet the band…

The band came out to the fans and have autographs and pics to everyone!!! I got 3 pics and all 4 autographes on the viva record! Now I have back stage pass for after the show. We are now waiting for the show to start in the NBC gallery!!!

I was sitting next to their tour manager, and he was looking at me a lot. I think that it was because I have a Coldplay Tee on, and I am walking everywhere with the VIVA vinyl. We went out at 3.30 and stood in the shade little to know that Chris, Guy, and Jonny were RIGHT next to us… I did not say anything..

( After my autograph moments, where I was screaming, and everyone around me was telling the 4 of them that I was there since last night at 5, and they were like… YOU WHAT??? HOW LONG??? WOW! THANK YOU!!! I said… “Uhh no…. THANK YOU!!!”)

SO we just stood there next to them and that was it, then they all left one by one. We got a mini tour of the Tonight Show, and then got into the green room. ****BTW… NO CAMERAS ALOWED … CAMERA=GOODBYE! ***** We hung out there, then got out to the Stage, where we stood on the Front Left. ( I Have a RED BLACK COMPASS Tattoo on my LEFT Forearm,) It Was SO STOKED!

And when you see the online questions, PLEASE dont kill me!!! I was going with what someone said in my Ear, and ***this is the jackass that i am*** not what i knew in my GUT!!!

Plus I HAVE NOT HAD ANY SLEEP IN LIKE36 HOURS!!! So Please forgive me!!!

There was about 400 total but the autographs was about 45… they were sound checking like at 11!!! we were all thrown off!!

Another quickie from Tony’s blog with some nice pictures.

First, I gotta give a BIG shout out to my buddy VINCE for hooking me up! He hooked my ass up with a pair of passes to catch Coldplay on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno yesterday. I owe you my life VV - I was sooo freaking close to them! I was so far away at Monday nights show at the Forum, so it was really cool to see them play in a small outdoor venue during the day.

Please NBC it’s to hot to have us standing in that corner for 20 mins or more… two people had to sit down…

people are terrified of getting out of line and they stand… it’s so hot please (we are too close up against a corner when it’s this hot)

Coldplay loves their fans and was super kind to them..

Chris the lead singer messed up on the second song and just cracked a joke on himself and kept it moving…

wait till you see the pictures and the video… you will be jealous if you love Coldplay… and you should….

The fans were nice… I wasn’t familiar with Coldplay… the fans talked to me… told me about the band without being rude … I love Coldplay and their fans…

Coldplay got tickets for Two fans who didn’t have tickets… please support Coldplay… buy all there albums….

The couple at the end got a picture with Jay… This was a great day..
