Chris is the most gracious person. His voice was almost gone (it was around 11 pm Saturday night), it was his birthday party-day, yet he took a moment for an old lady like me. I was extraordinarily lucky. I would have liked to have engaged him in conversation but I lost my adult mind and was too polite to impose. Later as I was getting on my elevator, Jonni swept by (with a toothbrush in his left hand), no time even to trip him and apologize (just being perverse, I would never and did not do that!). I was so convinced they were at the Condessa, DF…..

At the Auditorio Nacionale Sunday night, I saw the boys give a concert where they put in their all (but the blackouts between soongs broke the energy and the momentum). I have seen 7 of their concerts in the State. And I saw Gwyneth, anonymous women, Michael Stipes (R.E.M.) and an actor/producer/director I just cannot remember the name of, but I know his face. He is the fellow who suggested Coldplay sing Ring of Fire (according to Chris, anyway). Gwyneth is so still in love with Chris! She was dancing in place and the young lady next to her said “He’s so HOT” after he came up and sang to her the way he does when he comes up in the audience….So sweet. I completely understand and envy her that kind of love. Jay-zee and rap with Coldplay. Go figure! Smile SIGH.

I was on the same level in the auditorium as Gwyneth and Chris’ friends, and could see the entourage clearly from where I was. No cameras allowed. (I had no purse, yet I was frisked!) DAMN! But I had binoculars (I am so NOT cool).

P.S. For Guy fans (He’s my favorite), he has no wedding band on now, but has a gold loop earring on his lewft ear. Moved thewedding band there to his ear? He looked thin. He was, as usual, beautiful.

God, I wish I could have gotten his autograph. But Chris even sketched me! I had NO presence of mind at all or I would have asked him to dedicate it to my 52nd birthday, which was why I had chosen to be there!

Ack! He seemed so tired I just, as a good Southerner,couldn’t be any more rude than I already had been.

I will write more about Jay-zee and the concert later.
