He had 2 support acts - one called Karima Francis, whose voice is an absolute joy to listen to. She’s an excellent songwriter and I really enjoyed her set. Definitely one to look out for…

Next up was Newton Falkner, who I saw last year for the first time at the MENCAP Little Noise Sessions. He is such a major talent and had the audience won over in no time at all. He has an album and his first single out soon. I videod the whole of his set [will upload, please bare with me]. UFO babee.

If you haven’t got your ticket for the Isle of Wight Festival already you could be very sorry.

Tickets for this summer’s festival only went on last on Thursday and it has sold out in record time. It all started on the 25th, when all of us (from coldplaybr) went to the airport to try to see Coldplay arriving. After 3 hours of waiting and a lot of anxiety and crossed information, we got to know that the band had already left through an alternate exit.

I went, along with Ana and Edu (people I met at the airport), by car to the hotel, to try to get there before the band, but no luck. As soon as we arrived we were informed by a group of girls that were already there that the band had arrived 20 minutes before us and that someone from the crew told them that they didn’t want any contact with the fans.

That didn’t really make us give up. We tried to get in the hotel, managed, by using a little bit of theatre, but as soon as the manager noticed we were probably fans, we were kicked out. Again, not a reason to give up, we stayed at the hotel door until 11:30pm waiting to see if the band would come out. No one did, so we had to go home, but with the promise of coming back the next day and not leaving until we saw Chris, Jonny, Will and Guy.

Coldplay brought their Twisted Logic tour to São Paulo yesterday for a sold out concert at Via Funchal.

The band asked all bars inside the arena to close 15 minutes prior to the show, not allowing any further sales of alcoholic drinks. Rodrigo Santoro and girlfriend Ellen Jabour [pictured] were there.

Doing the exact same thing but in the opposite direction was a slim, blonde woman in a salmon-coloured dress. Before I knew it, my wine glass had connected with her stomach and the liquid inside was sloshing violently. “Oops,” I said, looking up and wincing. Gwyneth Paltrow was looking back at me. “Urgh!” she exclaimed. I had just avoided the horror of ruining the most photographed dress of the 2007 Academy Awards — not to mention the possibility of making Gwyneth sob more loudly than she did on winning Best Actress in 1999.

Scottish rock band Travis have announced a ten-date tour of the UK for May and June, their first full tour since 2004.

They play a handful of now sold-out dates in London, Glasgow and Warrington in March, and the new dates will kick off in Grimsby on May 15.

The general commentary is of that the Coldplay left an enraptured public! We wait to have more information on the show! Thanks to the all the people who had helped in confirming the setlist!

Sorry for coming only now, I’ve just arrived home after almost 8 hours between airports and planes (I live far far away from São Paulo). Unfortunately I couldn’t join the group to see the boys in the hotel because I was with my boyfriend (and he hates Coldplay) and he was already going to the concert with me it was too much to ask to go to the hotel… Anyway I feel that part of me was there with people from ColdplayBR.com and I feel almost as happy as them!! And, of course, listening to their songs live at Via Funchal was much more than I could ever ask!

I’m sorry I don’t have enough words to describe how good was the last night for me. My seat was in the fourth row it was hell expensive but as soon as I arrived there I realized it was totally worthy. My seat was in the center, and in the left side of it there was an empty row (where people walked to arrive in their seats) so, during the gig, I would have an incredible view. I would if there weren’t a bunch of stupid assholes (seated behind me) that left their seats and went to this empty row and I asked ‘please, go back to your seat’ and they went nearer to the stage (the center of the first and second row weren’t sold, so just the guests from production were there) where people didn’t pay that much to their seats and didn’t ask that people to leave… and the worst thing was that most of them just knew how to sing the chorus line of speed of sound and fix you…

But the concert was amazing, the best night of my life, I think Mariana’s review is really good, we had Sparks and Daylight (which were awesome) and we’re supposed to have Love me tender, but they didn’t play it. It was fun that when they started playing Sparks Chris said they were going to play High Speed, and then ‘oh no, it’s Shiver’ and finally he said it was all a joke!
